With 30+ years of professional experience and $238MM in client assets under management or advisement, we predominantly work with two types of clients:

Business Owners – Some of our earliest clients, stretching back to the late 1980s, were business owners. We find our focus on advanced planning is a great fit for the complex needs of business owners and their families.

Professionals – Today more than ever, America’s professionals are overloaded with responsibilities and are expected to be “always on”. Many professionals have found that leaving the management of their retirement funds to someone who focuses on providing that service can be an advantageous move. Doctors, engineers and university faculty members all form part of our significant professional clientele.

What you’ll learn:

  • Valuation risk : Is your portfolio exposed to super expensive equities that have the potential for greater volatility?
  • Inflation risk: Is your portfolio vulnerable to volatile inflation numbers? Do you have too much in long-dated bonds that have greater susceptibility to this interest rate shocks?
  • Longevity risk: Is your portfolio too conservatively allocated? Or is the amount of income you’re looking to take from the portfolio too small relative to the income goals you’re trying to reach?
  • Savings rate risk: Could your savings rate be too low in order to replace your income?
  • Volatility risk: When markets become volatile, will your portfolio share in the same volatility. Could it perform better? Worse?
  • Estate planning risk: 170,000 people passed away around the globe yesterday. None of them planned on it. If one of those individuals, was you or your spouse, would your assets go to those persons or causes you desire?

Market valuations, inflation, liquidity, market composition, leading economic data. We evaluate all of this information in helping our clients build portfolios to fit their needs.

Over the past 30+ years we have helped countless clients retire and from this experience know the challenges that pre- and post-retirees face. Retirement planning is more than hitting a target number. It’s about the human element: your life situation, family, goals and desires all play a crucial role in determining the right approach to your retirement.
